Ingredients of Vanilla Custard

  1. It's 600 ml of milk (I use semi-skimmed).
  2. You need 1 of vanilla pod or 1/2 tbsp vanilla paste.
  3. You need 3 of egg yolks.
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of cornflour.
  5. It's 25 g of caster sugar.

Vanilla Custard instructions

  1. Heat the milk and vanilla, until it just comes to the boil..
  2. Whilst the milk is heating up, mix together the yolks, sugar and cornflour, it should look like a smooth paste..
  3. Slowly add the warm milk to the paste & stir well with a whisk..
  4. Put the mixture back in the saucepan and stir constantly with the whisk until the custard thickens..
