- It's of lamb mince.
- It's of olive oil.
- Prepare of onion, chopped.
- Prepare of leek chopped.
- You need of diced pumpkin.
- You need of diced carrots.
- You need of Bisto or cornflour.
- You need of lamb stock ( out of half cube).
- Prepare of topping.
- You need of potatoes.
- It's of parsnips.
Bonfire Shepherds pie instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C/375°F or 170°C for fan ovens.
- Brown the lamb with the oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and rest of the vegetables and cook for about 3 minutes..
- Add stock and seasoning (I like adding a bit of Worcestershire sauce) and simmer for 20 minutes covered..
- Mix Bisto with some water to make smooth paste. Add to mixture stirring until thickened. Simmer for 3 minutes..
- Boil potatoes and parsnips until tender and mash together..
- Tip mixture of vegetables into heatproof dish and cover with mash..
- Cook for 40 to 45 minutes and serve with vegetables.
