  1. Puree half of the strawberries and chop the other half roughly.

  4. Stir the strawberry puree, 3/4 of the chopped strawberries and the crushed meringues gently into the whipped cream.
  5. Serve with the rest of the chopped strawberries sprinkled over and a dusting of reserved meringue crumbs.
