- It's 950 g of peeled Maris Piper Potatoes.
- You need 4 tbsp. of Olive Oil or 2 tbsp. Veg. Oil.
- Prepare 5 of small Onions.
- Prepare 3 of Beef Oxo cube's.
- It's 1500 ml of Cold water (3 large mugs).
- It's of Salt and pepper.
- Prepare of Cornflour (optional,just a little to thicken).
- You need 50 g of Block butter.
- It's of Some Pasteurized Cow Milk.
Cottage Pie step by step
- Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7 or 8.Boil loads of peeled Maris Piper Potatoes in a cauldron saucepan,boil cook on the hob for 30 minutes,or until soft too mash.Drain water away through a Colander Sieve and place the cooked potatoes back into that saucepan and then add some Pasteurized Cow Milk and quite a bit of butter too make a nice creamy mash once mashed..
- Add 4 tablespoons of Olive Oil too a Wok,or large frying Pan,peel and chop 2 large onions, add to Wok and then fry,maybe slowly with the lid on for 10 minutes and then add your Two portions of Beef mince for your dinner and brown off with the softened onions.Add cold water,bring to the boil and then add 3 Beef Oxo Cubes,season if need be and mix cold water in with some Cornflour and then add this to the Wok.Should be done in 30 minutes..
- Place the Beef Mince Gravy in the bottom of a Casserole Baking Bowl,or the Skillet and then place some of your creamy smooth mashed potatoes over the top and then use a Dinner Fork too make lined pattern marks on top and then bake for about 1 hour,eat out of hot Casserole Dish and enjoy..
